Source of pain: The back pain that radiates down the legs can be related to nerve compression by a disc problem or spinal stenosis. Usually magnetic resonance imaging is of benefit in defining etiology of pain. Once known medical therapy or surgical therapy can be considered as means to relieve pain. Physical examagnmination by doctor also helps to localize problem.
