See below: I need more info: are they complete boney impactions, or soft tissue impactions, and at what angle are they? Your age? Your medical history? Are going to be sedated (intravenously)? Expect post op swelling and pain for which the surgeon should rx meds.

Depends.: Depending on how many teeth are removed, what their position is (fully erupted, partially impacted, fully impacted, etc..., your post-operative discomfort and time to heal will vary. Your oral surgeon/ dentist should be able to give you a better idea than i can.
Dr. Alex Shvartsman
Cosmetic Dentistry 25 years experience
Swelling: Some swelling, possible pain. Your dentist should help you manage both. Ice the first 24 hrs as this will resolve a lot of the swelling. Take arnica as well.

Depends: Everyone has differing rates of recovery. Generally, the first 2-3 days are intense and then it improves from there. If the pain persists, you may have a condition called dry socket...See the oral surg/dentist immediatelt as this can lead to bone necrosis. The "holes" left behind from the extractions can take 2-3 weeks to heal over, usually during this time, they're not painful, just annoying.
