A doctor has provided 1 answer

Broken eardrum: I believe you are referring to a perforated tympanic membrane (eardrum). This can be caused by a direct injury to the ear (something punctures the eardrum). It can be caused by an ear infection. It can also be caused by pressure, as in diving. I'm not a specialist, but i think these generally heal on their own. An ear, nose, and throat specialist is who it see if you have concerns. Lgromkomd.
