See your doctor: Clots during a period with excessive cramping sometimes mean that you are having an early miscarriage, even before you know you are pregnant. The bleeding can be heavy, so you should call your doctor, who can tell what is happening likely by blood testing, examination or ultrasound. Do not wait.
