Endocrinologist: The ultrasound isn't enough of a work up. For amenorrhea and severe weight gain, a comprehensive metabolic and hormonal work up is essential to determine the cause and potential complications you may have from this. Pcos is not the only diagnosis to be considered. Ovarian cysts are also seen in women for other reasons. Please start with your primary doc, but you should see an endocrinologist also.
