Hiv: If you take protease inhibitors for the HIV status then you have to be aware that they are broken down in the cytochrome p450 in the liver. A great majority of the benzodiasepines (midazolam, diazepam, etc) are metabolized by the same pathway competitively. If they stay in an active form they can accumulate in your body and produce unexpected long and deep sedation that could impair breathing.
