A member asked:

Eye flashes when i look at something white or at the sky. what does this indicate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PVD: Most likely is a PVD (posterior vitreous detachment). Pvd is when the base of the vitreous (jelly inside the eye) pulls away from the retina. The tugging of the retina from the vitreous can cause quick flashes of light. This is a normal change with the aging of the eye. You should see and ophthalmologist to confirm and make sure the retina does not have a tear.
