Could my eye floater problem be related to my worsening vision?

Yes: Eye floaters can be a sign of retinal problems that could lead to worsening vision and would be extremely important to have that evaluated with an ophthalmologist immediately.

Yes. : If you develop a sudden floater and it is followed by some blurry vision that doesn't resolve within a few minutes, there could be a retinal tear, a retinal detachment, or a small hemorrhage. These possibilities should be checked by an ophthalmologist who will dilate the eyes.
