A member asked:

What is the best way to try and subdue the pain in a sore throwing arm for a game the next day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ice/heat/more rest: If your arm is hurting the night before a game, you may want to consider not throwing the next day, as the pain is your body's way of telling you to real it in a bit and let the body heal. In fact, if you are having pain on the morning of the game, i highly suggest not throwing until you are completely pain free, or else you may make matters worse. Heat/ice/anti-inflammatories are helpful as well.
