I believe in treating significant scrapes by washing your hands well, then gently wash the scrapes with soap&water, pat dry, apply antibiotic ointment to prevent infection, apply a non sticking gauze held with paper tape. . Do this once or twice a day depending upon the severity of the wounds. See a physician as needed.
