A member asked:

Is it common for peripheral vision and depth perception to start fading at almost the same time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Neither should fade in normal aging. Near vision does "fade" in a condition called presbyopia. Loss of peripheral vision is sometimes due to serious conditions such as a retinal detachment or glaucoma or retinitis pigmentosa. Depth perception problems can be due to lose of vision in one or both eyes.
