Treatment!: An abscess is an infection. Infections do not go away unless the cause of the infection is resolved. This is true even if you are on antibiotics. Untreated infections can spread to other parts of your body and cause serious complications. People have died from untreated infections. See a dentist for an evaluation and definitive treatment asap.

Tooth abscess: Immediately see your dentist. Any abscess in the mouth should be treated as soon as possible by a dental professional. Failure to have the abscess treated may lead to more serious dental and possibly medical consequences.
