Depends: Every medical decision has risk/benefit ratios. Some antibiotics may have hepatotoxicity or may be primarily detoxified in the liver, making their use problematic but not excluding it. Pain killers is another issue. Many patients with hep c got that way through drug abuse. Others, because of the discomfort associated with treatment get started on narcotics. Discuss this with the treating doc.
