Tranexamic acid (1000 mg) prescribed for heavy menstrual bleeding. is this safe to take 24 hours prior to traveling on a 19 hour flight? also on hrt!

NOT SAFE!!: Tranexamic acid is contraindicated, according to package insert, if you are on hormone replacement therapy. In addition, since a 19 hour plane flight increases the risk of venous thrombosis it would also not be advised prior to flying. Unless you are flying first class there is less and less leg room as airlines are squeezing more seats into the cabins.
