I woke a few days ago with pain and swelling on the lower front of neck. i can feel restriction wben swallowing. could my thyroid nodules be reason?

Possible but...: Unlikely if sudden appearance , you might have bled into a nodule/ cyst but even if nodule enlarged it rarely causes difficulty swallowing because esophagus is behind hard trachea , and traches is behing thyroid thus yopu must look for other causes see md!

It is unlikely: It is unlikely for a thyroid nodule to cause pain and swelling. Pain/swelling in the midline front of the neck may represent thyroiditis, inflamed thyroid gland, or superinfected thyroglossal cyst. However, if you feel any lumps that are getting larger, or have been in your neck for longer than 2 weeks, see your doctor right away, as this can represent infected or possibly cancerous lymph nodes!
