Possible: A DVT is a possibility following any trauma...Certainly in this instance in order to rule out an ovarian vein clot this would require more involved testing..With the accident history, i would see your physician and consider a ct scan of the abdomen and pelvis with IV contrast...This will give the best look at the entire area and be able to evaluate the anatomy most accurately.

Belly Bruise: Dvt or deep venous thrombosis refers to a clot forming in a deep vein of the leg or arm. A contusion or bruise of the abdominal wall can injure deeper organs and result in localized hemorrhage or hematoma. A DVT therefore cannot occur in an organ, per se. A muscular wall contusion can also occur and be the source of persistent pain. Imaging with an ultrasound should provide the answer.

Unlikely....: Unlikely given the information you provided. If you have a pelvic DVT you would probably have lower extremity swelling too. Since you didn't mention it, a DVT is unlikely.
