Yes: There are several studies that have examined the use of different herbal remedies for depression, including same, 5-htp and omega-3 fatty acids. Be aware that exercise is also an excellent antidepressant and that light therapy is another "natural" product that has had success in some forms of depression.

Be careful: Be careful of st. John's wort. The potency of herbals are not regulated by the fda so you really don't know how much you're getting. Further, sjw has numerous side effects and interacts adversely with just about any medication you may be taking.
