The teeth on one side of my mouth don't touch. is this normal?

No: It is normal for the teeth on both sides of one's mouth to touch simultaneously when biting. If only one side touches, there will be extra stress placed on the teeth on the side that touches, and this can lead to trauma to either the teeth or the bone that supports them. An exam can determine the cause for your malocclusion (bad bite). You may be advised to see an orthodontist for correction.

NO !!!: When teeth on one side don't touch you may develop several complications. You use one side more than the other so the muscles on one side get more developed. There is a lot of stress on the TMJ which will lead to pain, popping, and the teeth on the side that touch will start to wear down quite rapidly. Please correct this...

Not normal: May indicate a problem with your occlusion or your dentition's supporting bone. See your Dentist as soon as possible as an imbalanced occlusion may cause a multitude of problems. Consultation with an Orthodontist may be in order.
