See a surgeon: You will need referrals from your doctor to see a breast cancer surgeon who specializes in breast cancer treatment, and a medical oncology specialist. Most often lumpectomy surgery (or also called partial mastectomy) and post -operative hormone therapy or chemotherapy and possible radiation therapy is indicated. There is a very high success rate in treating breast cancer.
