No: Only dental enamel can be whitened. If the cap is on a "back" tooth, then it may not show or matter as shadowing of back teeth in the mouth makes them appear darker anyway.

No: Composite resins do not respond to dental bleaching agents commonly in use. It must be replaced with a resin of a lighter shade if a whiter shade is desired.

Not full caps: Have your dentist check the extent of the cap. Sometimes, if it is a veneer, or covers just the front you can get some mild whitening by bleaching the enamel on the back side of the tooth and the color can show through and give a brighter effect.
