A member asked:

Can teeth whitening bleach damage teeth? is it good to whiten teeth? what is the best less expensive way to do it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Whitening works: Teeth are not damaged by whitening. Actually you will feel better about yourself, smiling more. I assume you are having regular dental care, and there are no defective restorations or gum disease in your mouth. Strips that can be purchased at drugstores and elsewhere are the best way to start. They contain hydrogen peroxide derivatives that bleach the stains from foods you eat and drink.
