Sporadic occurance: We all contain genes that can be good or bad. We are finding many new gene permutations every day. In some cases there is direct inheritance from one of our parents. In many others the permutation is a sporadic occurance without definite cause. There are definable risks of getting the disease and of passing it on. Genetic counseling would be appropriate.
