I have a sharp pain in my left tonsil that leads to my ear. am i coming down with something?

Fish bone?: It can be inflammation due to infection, local trauma or local irritation such as a foreign body. The fact it is one side argues against a viral or bacterial pharyngitis. Pain radiating from tonsil to ear is common as there is a shared nerve supply.
