What us a blood infection, how do you get it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bacteria in blood: When a bacterial infection spreads into the blood we call that bacteremia. This causes high fevers with shaking chills. This happens because of a bad infection where the bacteria migrates into the blood stream. It can potentially spread to other parts of the body then. This definitely needs a doctor. And usually IV antibiotics.
