Chest xray result is cardiomegaly and atheromatous aorta, what does it mean?

Needs evaluation: Non specific findings. The cardiomegaly needs to be followed up and the reason for it and whether it is truly present need to be determeind. The atheroma is a marker of vascular disease and again can be followed up. Need to see your physician re both af these, but not a cause for panic.

See below: Cardiomegaly means the heart is enlarged. Atheromatous indicates hardening of the artery!
