Saliva gland: Swelling or pain in the back or cheek while eating is typically due to a blocked saliva gland. A stone or simply thick secretions can be the cause. Often the cure is to thin the secretions by increasing water intake and using sour candy. Sometimes the doctor needs to remove a stone. Visit an ENT doctor for a complete diagnosis and treatment.
