Sounds like tmj: The symptoms you describe are consistent with TMJ .Try soft diet and ice(20 min on and 10 minutes off) and take any nsaids medication. It could be bite related or caused by avoidance chewing. Arthritis is also another cause. Also, I have seen cases from giving oral sex. So avoid anything that requires wide opening and see your dentist for a TMJ splint if symptoms persist.

Could be muscle : Strain from prolonged sedentary position. If you feel some lymph glands, with fever , sore throat, vomiting or any unusual symptoms go see your dr right away . Check on youtube for neck exercises . Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin may help if no allergies as well as warm packs .. Massage may help. .Hope u feel better!
