A member asked:

Is it painful to have a root canal for front tooth?

No: Infected teeth hurt. The treatment (root canal) does not. See and endodontic specialist for care.

Generally not: Usually, front teeth are the easiest to treat. Unless the tooth is very infected, expect a relatively comfortable outcome.

No: Root canals should not be painful at all. Root canals are almost as routine as doing a filling. You will get "numbed up" with a local anesthetic. If you experience any pain during the procedure, let the doctor know so he can give you more local anesthetic.

Not if done right: There is no reason dentistry has to be painful. If your dentist actually cares about not hurting you! if he/she hurts you fins another dentist.
