What is the proper ratio of bleach to water in order to make an effective disinfecting solution?

1-10 (10%): 1 part of bleach to 10 parts water is an effective disinfectant. Be careful, it can damage skin, clothing and other materials. Do not get in the eyes. Use protective clothing and gloves. Do not use in the presence of other cleaning agents. Fumes may develop that can be toxic. Don't use in inclosed spaces. Ventillate! it is a great (and cheap) disinfectant.
