Why does the fluoride from coal burning lead to tooth loss?

It doesn't: Fumes from burning coal contains may toxic byproducts. Breathing in Fluoride containing coal fumes over a long time can cause skeletal fluorosis ( a very serious disease) , but it will not cause tooth loss. There have been only 4 mild cases of skeletal fluorosis in the U.S. in the past 30 years. There are several million cases in china and india.
