Don't be afraid: I have treated hundreds of patients with the medication and the overwhelming majority do very well. The medication is very safe and effective. The downside is it is typically taken 3 times per day and it does not work fast. It will typically take 3 months to begin to be effective. Rarely I have seen patients with hair loss but it is typically seen as additional hair in the sink or brush.
