A member asked:

Took an at home uti test and had a bunch of white blood cells but no bacteria. whats that mean?no fever and slight nausea. kidney area is sore to.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Have urine checked: The home dipstick test can be useful for screening purposes, but a true urinalysis and culture is now warranted in your case. The wbcs are indicative of inflammation, tissue damage (kidney stones?), or a urinary tract infection (uti). Bacteria are sometimes missed by dipstick. Get your urine checked by your doctor now. Hope you feel better.
