No.: Iud's are considered mechanical forms of birth control not hormonal. Your change in cycle is hormonal in etiiology(cause). A normal cycle is 28 days give or take 7.You need to see a doctor; have hormones checked for cause in change of your cycle. As for "waiting for the right time", my mother who had 9 children said that if people waited until the "right time" that no one would have children!
