It depends.....: It depends on the weight, beta-cell function, and of course, genetics. I have had patients lose a ton of weight and come off Insulin and a lot of diabetic meds. If your pancreas beta cells are still functional (c-peptide ) and continue to make insulin, then losing weight could help. "ressolved" or "cured"? ....There is no cure for dm. Losing weight helps. Go see your doctor and find out.
