It Can Spread: If you have active cold sores on your lips (usually from a herpes simplex virus) then you can definitely spread the virus to an open cut in the vaginal area. If it just happened wash thoroughly with soap and water and hope for the best. You can call your doctor for an anti-herpes medicine like zovirax, Famvir or valtrex (valacyclovir). If it happened 3 months ago and you have no sores you got lucky and are fine.

Herpes concern: You could have herpes. It burns, tingles, hurts, and can occur in the mouth and on the skin. Type 2 happens mostly in the "boxer's shorts area, " which could include sacrum, genitals, or even thighs. A blood test will tell you type i or type ii (type ii is the worse kind). Treatment is the same: valtrex, (valacyclovir) famvir, or acyclovir.
