Abdominal muscles: The rectus abdominis (the six pack muscle) helps with breathing and attaches on the pubic bone. It also flexes during sit ups. If you've noticed a change in your abdomen see your doc. If you are not feeling your muscle flex but the two bones that join to form the pubic symphysis (google it) separate, this is not normal and you need to see your doc.
