Yes: Occasional use of artificial tears is okay with contacts in. Frequent use tends to gum up the contacts; so artificial tears that are designed to be used with contact lenses are better. They are labelled "for use with contact lenses".

Can I use artificial tears like tears naturale II eyedrops (from alcon) everyday to prevent dry eyes. I'm an it engineer & i always use computer.
My eye waters constantly and becomes very irritated and swells below the eye. I have tried a tear duct flush at an eye specialist at the N17 hospital and that was a waste of money. I have tried all kinds of Tobrex (Alcon) products and nothing helps.
