Seek medical care: Dear calderwoodsiiz: first determine if the biting dog has its vaccinations up to date. If not go to emergency room now. Second if you have not had a tetanus shot in the past 10 years-you need one now. Third-wash wound with soap and water. Cover with dry dressing - go to see doctor because you will need antibiotics for the inoculation injury. Drug of choice is Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) if you are not allergic.
