Lump on elbow: One thing that comes to mind is a bursitis. This is an inflammation of the bursa - a small fluid filled sack that lines some joints. The bursa can get inflamed due to trauma, overuse or infection. It's not always painful, but can present as a soft lump on the outside of the elbow. Standard treatment includes nsaids, ice, compression, avoidance of trauma and sometimes drainage and antibiotics.
