No: Cardiac pacemakers maintain and encourage normal heart rhythms, and are used to treat abnormal heart beat patterns. The vagus nerve is stimulated by a vagal nerve stimulator used over the left vagus, which does not have cardiac innervation, and this device helps control seizures.
