Cyst, hernia, : The referred pain to the pelvis when sneezing or coughing can exacerbate the pain caused by an ovarian cyst; it can also be caused by a hernia (a small weak spot on the abdominal wall that can cause pain with coughing, laughing - or anything that increases pressure in the intraabdominal area). Could be a pulled muscle in the groin.
