Unknown: There are so many things that can couse this symptom. A any chance you have any dental problems? Are you anxious? Any physical problems? Try and relax and take some deep breaths and see if it goes away.

Globus sensation: The sensation of having a lump in one's throat is called globus sensation. This is generally caused by inflammation in the throat, pharynx or larynx. The inflammation could be due to acid reflux or gerd. You can also have spasm which can cause this sensation. Sometimes this could result from anxiety disorder or depression. May also be due to an anatomic problem with larynx or vocal cords.
