A member asked:

My blood work came back ana 1:160 nucleolar. i am concerned - is this worse than speckeled and what could this mean besides lupus? i have no symptoms

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe nothing: If you have no symptoms, why was the ANA ordered in the first place? The ANA is a relatively nonspecific test and can be seen in numerous unrelated conditions and even in people without any disease. That siad, a nucleolar pattern may be seen in scleroderma. You may want to consult a rheumatologist.
