POSSIBLY: Usually a ruptured ovarian cyst causes very acute and sharp pain, typically in the lower abdomen . If this pain has always been in the upper abdomen, i would be suspicious of another source, such as gallbladder, pancreas, stomach, or even appendix. I recommend you seek a direct medical exam and opinion. Good luck.
