can ovarian cyst rupture affect other organs in my abdomen ?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Jane Van Dis

Unlikely: I've never heard of an ovarian cyst rupture causing other problems with abdominal organs. Having said that, there can always be problems with the formation of scar tissue due to ovarian rupture. If you've worried that your sister has ruptured, see your doctor for a repeat ultrasound.

Hard to say: If the fluid leak is small, you may not feel anything. If large, can cause abdominal pain which gradually eases over the next 24-48 hours.
