What is a good home remedy for boils?

Heat: A boil is a small abscess or a pocket of infection. A good treatment is to apply a warm, moist compress to the area. This will stimulate rapid growth of the bacteria, which will cause it to "come to a head." then it can easily be drained. If you have fevers or it is larger than about half-a-dime or is on a sensitive area like the face or bottom, you should see a doctor for treatment.

Warm compresses: A boil is a skin infection that starts in a hair follicle or oil gland. Use warm compresses. The relaxed and gently heated pore will release the pus underneath and bring relief. Do not poke the boil with a needle. Staph infections may occur with home treated boils. Keep your skin clean and watch out for minor skin cuts.
