A member asked:

Can a radioligest be 100% certin that a cyst is benign through ultasound?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cysts are benign: Cysts is a closed capsule or sac like structure typically filled with liquid, semisolid or gasseous material. As a rule most cysts are benign structures, but sometime some of these can be considered neoplasm. Nearly all cancers are capable of producing cysts so a radiologist only reports what he or she sees on the image, that they see a cyst, it is up to clinician to decide if it is benign or neoplas.
