Well: The issue is one of recurrent muscle spasm, likely, with low daytime energy levels. Whethr it is an issue of recovery or one of increased pain becuase of a lowered pain threshold can be hard to say. Do you sleep well? Grind your teeth at night? Fatigued during the day? Those issues complicate the problem, not the fibromyalgia, but its kind of like the chicken and egg. There are good meds to help.

Yes: Even though fibromyalgia does not involve muscle inflammation as in polymyositis, muscles can exhibit poor tolerance to exercise. Recovery from exertion can be prolonged. On the other hand, one of the best treatments for fibromyalgia is exercise. The key is to build up slowly even from simple short walks. Muscle deconditioning (no exercise) makes the prognosis worse.
