Some times synanimus: Brain tumor means it is a tumor benign or malignant term lesion is used for besides tumor , non tumor diseases which occupy brain tissue, before diagnosis is established

Being specific: A brain lesion can be any abnormal finding including tumors stroke concussion ms plaques and on and on. A brain tumor is an abnormal growth benign or malignant with direct damage to tissue as well as pressure from occupying space.
