Never: If you are old enough to have sex then you are old enough to start on oral contraceptives. What's worse- being young and on medication or being young and giving birth and raising a child? You and your daughter need to have some heartfelt talks.

Start of oral bcp's: If your daughter is having regular periods, and may be sexually active, it is never "too early" to consult a physician. If your daughter is able to talk about these kinds of issues, go with her to a gyn (with her permission), as the risk of both pregnancy and infection is too great and potentially life changing, and this is what you should tell her, without any "judgment" from you as her mother.
